Eminem: Encore

This album cover is the complete subvert of what you would expect to see on an Eminem album cover. Eminem is wearing a navy suit, not what his genre of music would usually wear on a front cover; we would expect to see him wearing something along the lines of a cap, chain, baggy jeans and\or hoodies etc. The cover is very simplistic; it consists of him just bowing in front of a laid back crowd. This may show arrogance as he is trying to show people he is talented, a cocky approach for an album cover. The cover is very dark, which suits the genre of hip-hop/rap. He is on a stage and this fits with the title name: ‘Encore’. The ‘E’ at the start of the word Encore is the other way round, this is appropriate as his name/band logo are also reversed.
